For the complete list of evolutions and fixes, you can consult the release note of the version.

Environment variables management with Squash AUTOM

With Squash TM 4.1, it is now possible to manage environment variables for automated tests launched with Squash AUTOM.

This feature is an extension of the tag selection at the launch of automated tests to target an execution environment, introduced in version 4.0.

The environment variables can be used to indicate the browser, the version of the automated tests, or the type of environment (testing process/preprod) on which to run the tests.

In Squash TM, a new space in the administration allows to create environment variables (text field or list).

In order to use them, they must be associated with a Squash AUTOM automated execution server.

Default values can be set for each of these variables at the automated execution server and Squash TM project level.

These values are proposed by default to the user when launching the automated tests. Nevertheless, he can select others in order to target another environment on which to run the tests.

Consultation of environment tags and variables at the level of automated executions and suites

The environment tags and variables used are now displayed in Squash TM at the run and automated suite level.

OAuth 2 protocol support for communication between Squash TM and Jira

Communication between Squash TM and Jira can now be done via the OAuth 2 protocol.

This protocol is based on a token exchange between Squash TM and Jira. It is therefore no longer necessary to enter login credentials to Jira in Squash TM.

This feature is compatible with all Jira hosting (Server, Data Center and Cloud).

Optimized performance of search results display and default requirements dashboard

Squash TM 4.1 improves performance when displaying search results in all spaces as well as the default requirement dashboard.

In this dashboard, the "Validation by Criticality" graph is now based on the requirements instead of the test cases associated with the requirements, making it easier to read.
