Released on April 23, 2021, versions 1.0.0.RELEASE of Squash AUTOM and Squash DEVOPS allow you to manage your multi-technology automated test execution plans with the Squash orchestrator, from Squash TM or from your CI/CD pipelines.
After two alpha versions that allowed you to have an overview of the possibilities offered by Squash AUTOM and Squash DEVOPS in a POC context, these versions 1.0.0.RELEASE allow you to implement them in your production environments.
Squash AUTOM provides two complementary tools to allow you to control the execution of your automated test campaigns :
The EPaC (Execution Plan 'as Code'): These files allow you to describe different actions to be performed for or during the execution of automated tests.
The Squash Orchestrator: It interprets the EPaC to direct and coordinate the various components of the test execution chain (execution environments, automata, reporting, etc.).
Moreover, Squash AUTOM provides you with plugins for Squash TM in order to run your automated tests from Squash TM and trace their history.

o Docker image of the Squash orchestrator composed of a set of microservices.
o OpenTestFactory agent for HTTP exchanges between the Squash orchestrator and an automated test execution environment.
o Result Publisher plugin for Squash TM (Squash AUTOM Community and Squash AUTOM Premium versions).
This plugin is compatible with Squash TM 1.22.2 or later versions.
o Squash AUTOM connector plugin for Squash TM (Squash AUTOM Community and Squash AUTOM Premium version).
This plugin is compatible with Squash TM 1.22.2 or later versions.
o For Squash AUTOM Premium users: a Docker image containing the Squash orchestrator micro-services that are exclusive to them (for the execution of Agilitest tests in particular).
In addition to the Squash orchestrator, Squash DEVOPS provides you with the means to extend your CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing, in particular by developing advanced execution strategies based on execution plans retrieved from Squash TM.
