This release adds the support of Postman.
Postman supports writing test scripts for validating REST, SOAP, GraphQL… Web Services. It is an alternative to SoapUI which was already supported by Squash AUTOM and DEVOPS. So, in Squash DEVOPS, workflows executing Postman scripts can now be defined by configuring them as documented. In Squash TM 3.0 Community, which will be available beginning of December, it will be possible to
declare a test as being automated by a Postman script
launch this one from Squash TM (using Squash AUTOM) or from the CI/CD pipeline (using Squash DEVOPS)
Up to now, some Allure reports were generated and stored in Squash TM for each executed iteration or test suite, but none was published out of Squash TM. Starting with 2021-11, if the Squash orchestrator is configured to publish the reports in a S3 bucket, for any executed workflow triggered from Squash TM (Squash AUTOM) or from the CI/CD pipeline (Squash DEVOPS), an Allure report is produced and published in the S3 bucket. This Allure report contains the results of all executed tests, either elements of a Squash TM iteration or test suite, or (in the case of Squash DEVOPS) specified directly in the PEaC, the file defining the workflow, as references in a Git repository.
As a reminder, new versions of Squash AUTOM and DEVOPS are released monthly (except in August). The 2021-12 version will be available in mid-December. It will add the support of Cucumber 5 and 6 (Cucumber 5 can currently be used, but it generates some obsolescence warning messages).
Every AUTOM/DEVOPS release contains several components having each one their own version numbers. You can view them on our Download page or in our Release Notes by version.
